Why does such a large difference between free medical and cost medical remain in effect today? How does this affect the quality of care given to a patient? In America there a few options in choosing healthcare. You have option A: a brand new state of the art facility with every resource at its hand just waiting for you to become a part of their vision for the future of healthcare provided you have insurance. If you do not have insurance they probably won’t even speak to you unless you are dying. You have option B: a free clinic with shanty if any resources at all to help you, but dedicated healthcare workers with a passion to help you strive no matter what it takes. Then there is option C: no healthcare. The free clinic could not accept any more patients for the day, and you end up at the emergency room. The emergency room is a lot easier to be seen at if you have insurance, when you don’t it becomes annoying to treat you as a patient who is sick. You see, emergency rooms are for emergencies, so if you are not currently having a heart attack or a stroke, please don’t bother them. Any of this sound familiar? Why in America does a plastic card in your wallet signify if you are a human being worthy of being treated for an illness? If you have the wondrous insurance we all work ourselves to death for to retire with; why do your needs come after the needs of your doctors and nurses? None of the above should even be a question of existence in America. Professionals in the healthcare field can be found in either a cost or free healthcare setting. Those who are passionate about you as a patient and your well-being can generally be found in a volunteer type setting or on a medical mission.
