History of Media

Our media has changed drastically over time. We have seen so many changes through out this time, and it has been an amazing ride. It is amazing to read about how things were invented, and how things have changed. It makes you wonder about what people were thinking to even want to invent something like this in the first place. Who knew back when the bible was being written on stone that one day, it would be written on a thing called paper, with millions of people reading it each day.
The history of print dates back to 200AD. Woodblock painting is something that made this country the way it is. It is hard to believe that we have come so far. The true stepping stone in our history was in 1439. That is the year in which the very first printing press was born. The printing press started off with a slow pace, but it soon swept the nation and had everyone wanting more. The printing press was a great way to read about the news and many different stories. This was a problem for some people though. The printing press had a very long process to it. That would change, however, some time in the future. After the printing press became famous, used across the nation, and updated a new era was born. That era included a new thing called “radio”. The radio was invented in the early 1920’s. It took a great amount of time, and also went through many different inventors, but it was finally invented. The radio proved to be a great invention, and was a great achievement. Many people tuned it and were turned on to the radio waves.
People would be able to listen to the news. It was a great accomplishment. The people of this time had witnessed a great new technology, and one that should be appreciated now and for many years to come. If it was not for the radio, we would not have television, an even MORE convenient technology to have. The television was invented soon after the radio.
