The political views was shaped by the arrival of many people from different countries to what is now known as United States of America. Spain, France and England arrived to become wealthy and all three countries approached this in different ways, but England also planned to stay here.
When Spain had arrived to this continent they were taking gold little by little and sending it back home. With time, they moved down the continent to what is now know as Mexico and eventually settled there.
When the French came to this continent they wanted to trade and have mutual benefits between themselves and the Indians. The French send friars or teachers, so they can learn and
use this new land. Eventually the French found that liver oil from cod and beaver fur could make them wealthy.
England did not just want to use this continents resources, but they also wanted to settle in on this land. The King gave people money and hired crew members to go and work on this new continent.
The development of American jurisprudence was affected by two types on colonist that have arrived. Jurisprudence is the philosophy of the correct application of law. The first type was 'contract' and the second type was 'compact'. In 1609 the Colonist claimed a small piece of land in Virginia. In order to honor their king, the Colonist called it Jamestown. Jamestown was the first American colony that was considered to be a charter colony because it had an agreement with the King. They used the ideas of the "Magna Carta". Any colony that was to be established in the United States would make a contract of Jurisprudence. The purpose was to have mutual agreement. When businesses started down south ,the people become successful and the King asked to get 10% of the revenues, but after a while, he asked for only 5%.
