Hypothesis: With the support of the Hitler Youth, Adolf Hitler was trying to completely fulfil his dreams of “Lebensraum” as outlined in “Mein Kampf”. Therefore the real purpose behind the Hitler youth was to make the German youth obedient, fit, physically strong, and essentially soldiers in waiting”.

It is the central contention of this essay that, Adolf Hitler was training the Hitler Youth to be so fit, strong and obedient soldiers in waiting in order to sustain his dream of “Lebensraum” as outlined in “Mein Kampf”, the essay will highlight a definition of “Lebensraum”, it will then describe the structure & activities of the Hitler Youth as a Para-military organisation. The essay will also illustrate how Hitler indoctrinated young German school students into the Nazi ideology and instilled in them an attitude of how important and superior German blood was to the country, this then lead the school students into playing important roles in Hitler’s ‘Drang Nach Osten’ (drive toward the east). Lastly it will demonstrate that ultimately, the Hitler Youth evolved into a proper body of soldiers fighting for Hitler and the Nazi party.

Hitler’s Autobiography was written in Landsberg prison after he was captured while running an illegal protest known as the ‘beer hall putsch’, first published in 1925 it was where the main ideas and ideologies of Adolf Hitler were brought forward. His book titled, ‘Mein Kampf’ was where Hitler illustrated and shared all of his main ideas such as keeping the Aryan blood pure, new order in Germany, The Hitler Youth, and finally, “Lebensraum” (which in German means ‘living space’). Lebensraum was a basic principle of Nazi foreign policy. Hitler believed that Eastern Europe had to be conquered to create a vast German empire for more physical space, a greater population, and new German territory to supply food and raw materials.
