The Rise of Hitler

Before Hitler was known as an evil man who killed millions of people, he was a some-what normal young man. Hitler grew up with little friends, and he really wanted to make it as an artist. He is about 19 when he applies to study at the Vienna Academy of Fine Arts. He is striding to be an artist, but is rejected from the school. This is when he begins to become very interested in history and politics in Germany. 1913 the first World War breaks out and Hitler volunteers for service in Germany. After Hitler dodged death several times, and became partly blind from mustard gas in the trenches, he earned his two iron crosses and rose to corporal status in the army. While recovering from his services, Germany is going through major changes from the world war. The Weimer Republic takes control, and Germany is being humiliated by treaties set by France and Britain for land and control of Germany’s army because they lost the war. About 1918 is when Hitler is assigned by the army to keep tabs on the German Worker’s Party. After studying this group, Hitler see’s a chance to work his way into his political ends. He joins the group, and gives a speech on October 16, 1919. This speech is said to be the turning point of Hitler’s rise, the speech was so powerful it captivated his audience, and donations began to pour in for the political party.

Backed by political figures and a strong point, Hitler and the newly named party, National Socialist German Worker’s Party (Nazi Party), held rallies in Germany even though it was illegal to. Hitler would strongly suggest his point that the reason for the economy to inflate so badly, and the government is doing so poorly is because the Jews. The economy was so bad for Germany then that the price of an egg inflated about 30 million times its original price. Now that Hitler gained the trust of all the people that were a victim to the economy and believers of his point, he just had to gain power....
