Golfing is something you practice as you do when writing. Simple mistakes are made when put on the spot to make that perfect shot. It can either come naturally or you work up to that better status. In writing you make your own credibility, it doesn’t come naturally but it’s something you make stronger as you learn the different processes to building a good structured essay. In pursuing this further, the argument will become clearer and the reader will be able to process the information more effectively.
In writing you have to be ready to stage a series of examples to answer any prompt completely and make sure people understand the point you are trying to get across. Like wise in golf, you have to be ready for any sort of terrain or obstacle presented to you as you progress in the golf course. Metaphorically your opponent is your introductory paragraph; you need to set yourself up well so that your audience knows that you can back up the information presented. It can include many specific details that establish a mood or atmosphere to make your writing interesting. Too many details can discombobulate your reader. In my writing that’s my weakness. When writing I tend to have a lot of great ideas, consequently I get into making it sound elevated and end up with fragment sentences. For example, when analyzing the Iliad I used the sentence, “That being Priams request for his sons body.” As you can see here this sentence is just an idea without any purpose or analysis. Now knowing that I commit these errors I see how I can resolve this problem. By simply slowing down and processing the information that comes to mind, I can better this situation. Something that can help me with this is an outline or web. By writing down my thoughts and views I can organize them to make better sense to me and the reader.
