How do you feel about the idea that there are more important things in life than money?

I agree with this statement, because when you have money you do not usually have peaceful life. Everyone around you pretends that they like you only because of the position in which you are. More important in one’s life is one’s health, love and family.
As an example of that when you have money everyone around you pretends that they love you is in novel Metamorphosis written by Franz Kafka. Gregor Samsa was loved and adorned by his family until he transformed into an insect, because at that stage he does not bring money home. Then he was an encumbrance to his family; to their happiness and peaceful life. By the end of the novel Gragor realizes that he cannot live longer that life and he succumbs and sacrifices his life for his family’s happiness. This shows that with money you do not have real friends or that you do not have even a family.
However, eve money plays an important role in one’s life. For example, in Pride and Prejudice or in Sense and Sensibility is clearly shown that everyone decides to create an opinion about you after they will know how rich you are. In Sense and Sensibility, written by authoress Jane Austen, Willoughby does not marry Marian Dashwood because she is not rich. Thus, I do not think that money is important at all. It always at the end spoils your life and your mind.
