This essay will explain the notions of social justice and how it is connected with social welfare and crime control by using evidence from chapters 4 and 5. Social welfare and crime control policies are employed and enforced by the state to produce equal rights in society but sometimes these policies can highlight entanglements. The term entanglement is used to describe the relationships between the (Newman, Yeates, 2008) different policies, practices and processes of change which are sometimes blurred and can both work with and against each other.
