Statistics show that abortion still widely exists in China mainly because of the traditional concept that boys are superior to girls. It’s so cruel for those baby girls who did not even get a chance to have a glimpse of this lovely world. Additionally, the education levels and salary of women are generally lower than men. Although compared to previous time,this kind of situation has been significantly weaken,we can not deny that the traditional idea is still rooted in the bottom of people’s heart. Therefore,as a female and as a part of the whole,I call for a greater and essential equality. In order to achieve this goal,women should unite together to fight against the existing inequalities,work hard and become independent,and spread the idea of both sexes should be equally treated through media and education.
Firstly,women should unite together to fight against the existing inequalities in our society and seek for legal protection. For instance, before the 20th century, women in the United States did not have the rights to vote. As the development of economy women gradually began to realize that they could also play an important part in the society. They were unsatisfied with the situation at that time and they wanted the to be treated as equally as men, so they united together and established the National Woman Suffrage Association. This association demanded the federal states to give women rights to vote but repeatedly failed. However, after long efforts, women finally won the right in The Nineteenth Amendment in 1920. From this example we can see that a powerful weapon for women to fight against unfair treatment is to ally together opposing the unsatisfactory situation and seek for the legal protection.
