INTRODUCTION
Cardiovascular diseases can take many forms: high blood pressure, coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease, stroke, or rheumatic fever and rheumatic heart disease. According to the World Health Organization, The disease causes 12 million deaths throughout the world each year. Cardiovascular disease is responsible for half of all deaths in the United States and other developed countries, and it is a main cause of death in many developing countries as well. Overall, it is the Repeated Word leading cause in adults. Coronary artery disease, common form of cardiovascular disease, is the most leading cause of death in American today. However, But thanks to, any studies involving thousands of patients, researchers have found certain factors that play an important role in a person’s chances of developing heart disease. These are called risk factors. (Bonow, Mann, Zipes, & Libby, 2011).
1. Identify the major causes of CVD and analyze the key steps, including current medications used to address the disease.
While cardiovascular diseases can refer to many different types of heart or blood vessel problems, the term is often used to mean damage to your heart or blood vessels by atherosclerosis, a buildup of fatty plaques in your arties. This is a disease that affects your arteries. Arteries are blood vessels that carry oxygen and nutrients from your heart to the rest of body. Healthy arteries are flexible and strong. Over time, however, too much pressure in your arteries can make the walls thick and stiff sometimes-restricting blood flow to your organs and tissues. This process is called Harding of the arteries (atherosclerosis). Atherosclerosis is the most common form of this disorder. Atherosclerosis is also caused of cardiovascular diseases, and it’s often caused by an unhealthy diet, lack of exercise, being overweight and smoking. All of these are major risk...
