Human Development

My mother described her pregnancy as an easy going stress – free environment she had no major complications with the actual pregnancy. She over ate during this time, thus resulting into me growing in to a rather large baby. Because I was so large she was unable to deliver me vaginally. My mother also stated that she had a physical fist fight with my aunt whom hit her in the stomach with an umbrella; and a fight with my grandmother.
I was a nine pound nine ounce baby. My mother didn’t recall how long I was. I didn’t have very much hair. I was also very pale. My eyes where never open, and they didn’t open until the end my first month home.
Because my mother was so big the doctors automatically scheduled her for a C- Section. I was born in St. Joseph Hospital. My grandmother and grad father where present during the birth. My father and my aunt where also in attendance. My father didn’t sign the birth certificate because they were not married when I was conceived. My father was very supportive and helped while my mother carried me.
My mother had no complaints during her pregnancy the doctor had informed her that she was going to have a C Section, and she was going to receive and epidermal. She experienced no labor pains.
As a child I cried a lot until I reached six months. I depended on my swing. My mother used to wake up in the middle of the night to put me back to see in my swing. I would sleep in the swing and when she would take me out of the swing I would cry. I basically slept in the swing at night. She was the only one who had to adjust some things. My father would sleep and I would be up in the night with her. I was a very spoiled child. I would cry for my bottle and would throw Barbie Dolls out of the window. I was the first child born. After my birth, my mother had one more child.
My mother chooses not to breast feed because she was uneducated on the event. Breast Feeding is said to be more fitting for the child....
