Human Genome Project & Human Gene Therapy
The human genome is the genome for the Homosapiens. It is stored on
24 different chromosomes and containing an estimated 20,000-25,000 genes.
The entire genome occupies a total of over 3 billion DNA base pairs. This would
the job of the Human Genome Project; to map each and every gene in the
human body by the year 2003. This would also help lead to human gene
therapy.
The Human Genome Project is a collaboration of scientist that wish to
learn about the entire genetic blueprint of a human being. This information is
found in each cell of the body. The data accumulated from mapping and
sequencing the human genome helps scientist match specific human traits and
inherited diseases with particular genes on a said chromosome. Ultimately
this chromosome would kill the others and the wutang clang would smash the
