What is human service? Human service is a profession who act has an agent to assist and or empower individuals, groups, families and communities to prevent, alleviate or better cope with crisis, change and stress to enable them to function more effectively in all areas of life and living. Moreover everyone at some point in their lives needs help. This could be help with bill, adequate shelter or even help with everyday living skills. No matter what reason is the help it is an inevitable that people need it. And many question often goes unanswered because people are so unsure, about what human service is all about, and the main idea is for people to know where to look an even how to look for help. The main thing that human service strives for is the commitment that they make service, the time that they make to service, the time they put into making sure that everyone is okay. There can also be different goals for different types of human service, and also depend on the setting of the work place. The goal of human service is helping considered part of human service line of work. And the bottom line is human service work is the fact people in the field set out to do one thing and one thing only, to improve and enhance the quality of life to those that are served. If we could sit and ask human service worker, their job and the answer would be to make a difference in the life of someone that need help. After explaining what human service is all about yet people still ask why is human service needed. And I intend to answer every question and answer why human service is needed. First they are needed because the provide a variety of service and aimed in improving client’s lives. They are needed to help people that need help, only because they can’t force help on someone who doesn’t want it and they can’t take over a client’s life.
