If Had the Opportunity to Be a Company Commander for a Day

As we all know a Company Commanders job is not an easy task, knowing what to do and what is best for the company can take years of experience and some trial and error. This plus a well trained group of NCOs with years of experience in the field can make this errors to be less when they all work as a well oiled machine. With this, excellence can be achieved in a company and well made desicions can have lasting effects.

If had the opportunity to be a company commander for a day and have the opportunity to change something there is on two things that comes to my mind ant the two are: Phasing times and privileges and Acg shifts. We being in one of the longest MOSs (68 Alpha) sometimes feel like there is no justice to us when it comes to the privileges we have and the time in amount of weeks we have to wait for phasing up while we are on our AIT when we compare it to other MOSs that can phase up before 68 Alphas and have less weeks of total AIT than us or even compare our selves with other branches of the Arm Forces there's a huge difference but I'm not go to enter on that discussion because until I have further knowledge on how they operate. Yes, there is some MOSs in the Army that don't even have the opportunity to phase up or even enjoy the privileges that a soldier in phase 5 or 5+ have, but normally this MOSs doesn't last more than 6 to 10 weeks. But still if the opportunity was given to make changes one of the changes will be to at least give this MOSs that the AIT do not allow them to phase up a weekend off so they will experiment what a real army life is like. Because I believe basic training should prepare us not only for battle or the positions we will fill in the army but also what army life is.

When soldiers do this comparisons and see the difference on phasing times and privileges they...
