Some of the company’s SMART objectives for 2014 are;
To improve energy efficiency and waste disposal within the Company – when working with water companies and the like, energy efficiency is extremely important. Many of our customers request to see the carbon footprint created by the company in creating the products that we supply. If we did not monitor this and strive to improve we would not be considered for contracts and as a result not be able to continue to be a number one supplier.
To ensure training needs are identified and implemented – Training within a company is vital. We must ensure that the staff we employ are up to date with all training courses e.g. manual handling, working with water etc. not only to ensure their safety but to ensure they do not put anyone else at risk by not having the correct training. Ensuring they are correctly trained will reduce our onsite accident and incident percentages and will put our customers minds at ease.
To ensure all personnel clearly understand their roles – responsibilities and duties and have adequate job descriptions in place – for employees to do their job correctly and understand their roles we must ensure all employees have the guidance of job specifications.
