“Okay ma’am/sir, you look like an immigrant, therefore, I have to ask you for your papers, if you have any, otherwise I will have to deport you,” those are the “kind” words police officers will ask “suspicious” looking people every ten minutes as they try to enjoy a peaceful day like every other person. It does not sound so polite and comfortable does it? And it is all thanks to all this new immigration law brought up by some states. Arizona and Alabama were the first states to poison the United States with this dumb law without even thinking about the effects after it passed. This new immigration law has made me realize that the U.S. has brought racism in a more noticeable way than it used to be before the law. This new law not only makes the United States look bad but it has also affected the states that pass it economically, job wise, population wise, and many other ways, but it should get banned already and never consider it again because it is taking away happiness from human beings for some ignorant reason.
This Immigration law basically gives law enforcement officers the power to judge people based on their appearances, and in some cases, skin color. Supposedly this law is supposed to get rid all of the immigrants who are living in the United States illegally, but it is just offending many U.S. citizens. I do not know how officers will be able to pick out immigrants in this country just by looking at them and if they look “suspicious” or have an “odd” skin color. It is pretty offending and unfair having to get stopped by a police officer and ask you for your papers just because you are Hispanic. This law has scared many people living in the state under the law that they will not even bother to go out because of such unfairness of this state or even country. When a law like this gets passed, the country is the one to be blamed as well for letting such racist law to get passed. In most cases, all the Hispanics are the ones who fear to go...
