Immigration Policy Needed Now
Immigration is a very large concern in the United States at this time. There is illegal immigration and legal immigration. I have no problem with the legal immigrants. They are contributing to the American society. The illegal immigrants, on the other hand, are not giving back to the American economy. They are buying things, but many of them are being paid “under the table.” This means that they are not paying into the taxes, which contributes to giving assistance to the legal citizens in need of assistance. The hardest thing to think of is that the illegal immigrants are obtaining the assistance just by giving false information. Here in California, the illegal immigrants are just able to give a social security number of all zeroes, and they are able to get anything that even a legal citizen can be denied for.

Figure 1 is just a humorous illustration that is showing what the illegal immigrants receive just for coming to the United States. This is unfair to the citizens that are doing everything legally and are truly in need of assistance. The immigration policy of the United States needs to be re-evaluated and enforced when Americans are losing work in large part to the illegal immigrants.
Immigration is a crime, if it is not done in a way that a person is going through all of the proper procedures. I believe that if a person is to become a citizen of the United States of America, he or she should have to fulfill a few requirements. A person should be required to be able to communicate in the native language of English. I do not think that they should have to know the language exactly because many United States born citizens do not know the language perfectly, but they should be able to use the everyday used terms.
