Importance of High School

There are many things in life that we know and that we don’t know. People often debate over their opinions or their knowledge of a subject. According to the author’s levels of knowledge, we can base a good grasp of what we should debate, and what we should be quiet about. I work in a place where I have twelve hours to sit down and talk about anything. Often times at work we talk about how our job can be done better or how we would do things differently if we were supervisors. Often times we talk about hobbies or life. A good co-worker of mine, Derek, just graduated with a degree in fabrication and welding. He hasn’t had a lot of experience yet with customizing his projects or doing things his way, but just knowing what he was taught in school and what the basics of welding are.
I try not to act like I know a lot of things. I can relate to many topics because I have experienced a lot in life but I am not an expert in anything. A subject I know a lot about is pro football. I run two fantasy football leagues when the season is here and I know many stats and things about players that others do not know. I constantly watch television shows dedicated to the National Football League and read magazines dedicated to who is playing on what team and something about the player himself. I can tell you what college Jerry Rice went to and how many touchdowns he had in 1998. I know who used to coach the Dallas Cowboys and how big their stadium is. I know a lot about pro football because I focus on it and it excites me. I also feel like I can debate issues regarding security well. I have experienced numerous foot patrols where we required three hundred and sixty degrees of protection and overlapping fields of fire. I feel as if I can implement cheap and effective ways to deter attacks on compounds while keeping manpower strong.
