Syllabus: A. Textbook: Phonetics & Phonology by Peter Laddefogged
B: A Pamphlet containing ten articles about Phonology & Pronunciation
c.Time Allotment : 16 two-hour session on Sundays Everyweek
D. Students: majoring in TFL (MA)
E. Instructor: Dr. Alavi (PHD in Linguistics)
F: Topics to be covered: 1. Air stream mechanisms 2. Sound segments3. Suprasemmental features 4. Phonology

Methodology: Dr. Alavi may take different approaches and methods in teaching the course syllabus. He may:
1. Lecture on topics about: sound segments, suprasegmenta features
2. Assign Volunteers to have representations on optional topics
3. Topic review by students and class discussion on the topic
4. Give optional topics to students to write papers
5. Project: students report on the sound segments of their mother tongue

Assessment: Dr Alavi may assess his students' knowledge about the syllabus content as it follows:
1. A Final Exam ( 5 grades)
2. Project: ( 5 grades)
3. Participation in class discussion ( 5 grades)
4. Papers ( 5 grades)
5. Presentation: ( 2 extra grades)
