Review the 2009 Inauguration

Each American citizen has their own opinion on the Inaugural speech that President Obama gave on January 20, 2009. I felt like president Obama gave a wonderful speech. In his speech he talks about how the economy is badly weakened, and how we are at war with a network of violence and hate. Mr. Obama also talks about how many homes have been destroyed, and how many citizens are without jobs.
I truly honor the fact that Mr. Obama is doing everything that he can possibly do to helped society. The more he talks about how he plans to help society, the more confident I get in seeing a change. In the poem he continues to speak about how expensive the health costs are. The problems that we face are the indicators of crisis.
The most remember able moment to me was he said quote “Let it be told [the] future world that in the depth of winter, when nothing but hope and virtue could survive that the city and the country, alarmed at one common danger, came forth to meet” it.
I really like the fact that we now have a president that is willing to look out for the citizens and is willing to risk his life to make our lives much better. When I watched the inauguration, I felt like I was dreaming because I never thought that I would live to see a black president. I’m proud to see all of the changes that are planned to happen and Im blessed to be a part of a country that no longer judges you by the color of your skin but for who you are inside.
I’m proud to be an American and when I grow old, I will be able to tell my grand kids how it felt to have a black president.
