The Industrial Revolution Today in Britain there are some very interesting things going on. There are advancements being made that people couldn’t even have dreamed of ten years ago. But are all of these changes really positive? Many people don’t think so, but I am inclined to disagree with them. Although there are certainly negative aspects of the ever-growing industry the outcome will prove to be one of the greatest things ever to happen to Britain and, maybe, the world. I will be reporting the facts, and weighing the pros and cons of the revolution, and explaining just why I believe that it’s all for the better, so that you may in turn grasp what is truly going on a little bit better. One of the biggest reasons making people believe that the industry is hurting our society is child labor. This is a very controversial topic, and by even mentioning it in an argument for the Industry you may assume that I am going to be promoting it. You would be wrong. I believe that the massive increase in child labor is one of the biggest flaws with the revolution. How can it be fixed? Simple, outlaw it. Child labor has lead to the deterioration of many small children’s bodies, and when they get older they could begin to have severe problems. If the government would simply step in and make child labor illegal all this would be put to rest. Another big thing that people tend to dangle in front of the industry’s face is the working hours. Some people claim that the working hours are too long, and that they should be dramatically shortened. I believe that this is all just sour grapes. If men aren’t willing to work a little bit harder to make it possible to create enough clothing for the world then I guess we will never see any advancement in the art of science. With every great thing there are sacrifices, and certainly the industrial revolution is no exception.
