Infrastructure in educational institutions is a big concern for prospective students. Schools infrastructure could affect students positively or negatively. That is evident. A student which has access to a science lab that has the proper equipment, illumination and ventilation system, is a better candidate to conceive a better science project that another student that does not have the same accommodations. Studying environments have a relevant contribution in study success. Studying requires concentration. In the meantime concentration implies mental attention. How difficult would be to study for a math test at a bar on a Saturday night? A person is physically and mentally exposed to the environment, thus it would be out of this world if a person -with no strong knowledge of the subject- study at a bar and get a passing grade. A proper environment is a must in order to achieve some degree of concentration. What does refer the term proper environment? Is it just accommodations like equipment, illumination, ventilation, furniture, level of distraction? All those accommodations form a proper studying environment; however, all these accommodations are conditioned to a determinant factor: The color theory applied to that space. For example, hi-tech equipped, perfect illuminated and ventilated, and tranquil, yet the walls color are black. A regular person would probably last several minutes studying prior to start felling a sad or depressed sensation. That is definitively an extreme situation, but color theory will gradually affect the individual according upon the color scheme used. The color theory principles are meaningful aspects to consider for educational environments.
