One of the qualities of a smart person is his/her curiosity. People with curiosity always wanted to ask, learn, and find answers. They like to uncover about why things work, and to focus on improving or inventing new things. For example, my brother Jerry is a curious person. Since he was a kid, he used to spend hours trying to fix any kind of an electric advice. He said that repairing electrics devices is what he wants to do. He never finishes school, never got a degree, and knows exactly how repair a TV set. A smart person does not need to obtain a high school degree to achieve his/her goals. Asimov’s stated in his essay, “What Is Intelligence Anyway?”, “You are so educated, doc, I knew you could not be very smart.”
Another quality of a smart person is her/his spiritual connection. Smart people have a guiding vision in their head, heart, and soul. These spiritual connections guide smart people to where they need to go. For example, Steve Jobs study at Reed College and dropped out after only one semester. He went to India on a spiritual retreat and 4 years later, founded Apple Company. He is also the single biggest investor of The Walt Disney Company and one of the most famous college dropouts of all time.
The third characteristic of a smart people is their perseverance. When people know what they want, they look down to their priorities and their focal point. It is the capacity to keep working toward an objective, especially when the path to the end is hard. It is the skill to stay at a difficult task. Last night I watched a documentary about how the superb car Corvette is made. They presented the history of this car and stated that perseverance was the key factor that conducted to what this car is today, the perseverance of those that made and improved it.
