There are four functions of management which are planning, organizing, leading, and controlling and they all have an effect on organizational success by each contributing a specific value needed to complete company goals. Planning is used to define what steps are necessary to meet the company’s goals. Organization is getting a team organized and assigning explicit tasks to each individual to complete. Leading is a task performed by a manager that’s usually a high performer and can motivate and respond to employees on a proficient level. Controlling is a way the manager can monitor and keep track of all performance levels and make changes as needed.
All four functions of management are key parts to successful management. The five internal and external factors that have effect in the decision making process are, globalization, technology, innovation, diversity, and ethics. The competition of business is continually changing and managers must change to match the world around them. I would like to discuss the Apple organization and how it uses strategic planning and organization successfully to manage and market their technology, and how they affect the functions of management in their organization.
Globalization is the process of enabling financial and investment markets to operate worldwide. Globalization has affected Apple by international market management and production network focused on global competition. Apple’s products contain a list of language choices. Apple also is very economical in making the decision of establishing factories in different parts of the world. Apple has become multicultural and basically all nationalities use their products.
