If you are a student from another country or just want to meet others from around the globe, the International Association is for you! The International Association offers opportunities to share language, culture, and sometimes even food from all around the world. We also explore American culture especially the various cultures found in Oklahoma. The English as a Second Language (ESL) department hosted the annual International Fashion Show in the outside the gym at Tulsa Community College at Northeast Campus. International Fair attendees were also treated to a Fashion Show, featuring ESL students, as well as students who have completed ESL courses and are enrolled in degree programs, and a few faculty members. Twenty countries were represented. International organization for cultural relations and educational is a group of students from all over the world (including the United States) who come together to share their cultures and backgrounds and to provide support to students who are new to this country. When I started Tulsa Community College (TCC), I was a quiet student. That all changed when I joined a club and became involved in the Student Government Association (SGA). I was very proud to represent the students of TCC in the SGA. Ever since I joined, it has helped me be more social and not so afraid of my surroundings and I talk to everyone. I love being part of the International Association Club! It makes me feel like I’m a part of something important and it’s only made my connection with the school that much greater. If I didn’t get involved, I would not have had the fun and exciting time I have had here at TCC.
