I interviewed my physical therapist that I go to while recovering from my knee surgery. I chose him because he has had access to patient history and has the inside edge when he talks to and learns about the history of his patients and how they have become injured and what they do while they're recovering. Going into this interview I expected many interesting facts to come up through his years of work in and outside of the military, but some of the answers I received were definitely shocking. Outside of a regular Orthopedic sports doctor that deals with the surgeries of athletes, I believe that a physical therapist is the next step of who would run into the most interesting patients as well as the fact that they have more to compare to as most physical therapists have patients that are actively involved in the sports world but also have patients that are normal everyday people that run into similar injuries that athletes have. This is the reason why I chose this physical therapist over any other, because he deals with soldiers, who I believe are up on the same level with athletes as they train everyday and work their bodies to the maximum level everyday, but he also deals with family members of soldiers as well as regular civilians who are involved with the military, which gives him a new experience every time someone new comes in to see him.

The first set of questions dealt with his experience and how he came to this profession through school and certificates he had to attain. He has been in the physical therapy/ medical field for 14 years, 12 in the military and 2 outside. " I worked as an intern at a small physical therapists office in Wisconsin for 2 years before joining the military". There wasn't much of a difference between the requirements he needed to be a physical therapist as a civilian as opposed to being one in the Army.
