Introductory Speech
Good evening
When I was told to write my introductory speech, what came to my mind first is to talk about one person that influenced my life in one way or another. After thinking a lot I could not only find one person, I found two. These two persons played a great role in influencing my character, personality and choices.
They are present beside me in every step I take.
They are my role models.
They are here beside me not because they have to, but because they enjoy it.
When I was a child, he was the one who encouraged me and took my hand to discover my new world. On the other hand, she was the one who feared a lot and thought it is not necessary to face the world at that age.
When I became a teenager, she was the one that I told all my stories and secrets. On the other hand, he was the one that I thought he would punish me if he knew I did something he classifies as "wrong".
When I grew up and decided to choose my major in university, she was the one that dreamed to see me her future doctor. On the other hand, he was the one that knew I will not be able to handle the stress that every pre-med student will face, and even though he rejected my choice but accepted my decision.
Now regarding all the conflicts that occurred between us and may occur later, I know that what matters mostly to them is my happiness.
And as Ralph Marston -a football player -said “Make it a habit to tell people thank you. To express your appreciation, sincerely and without the expectation of anything in return. Truly appreciate those around you, truly appreciate life, and you’ll find that you have more of it.”
And in my life I have the most two precious individuals my mom and dad, and I cannot reward them more than saying I love you more than anything.
