The private sector company I have chosen to investigate is ‘Alliance Boots’ which is a leading international pharmacy-led health and beauty group and the public sector i have chosen to investigate is Bolton Community College.
Task 2
Alliance boots is formed by two companies that have come together. The companies are boots and alliance chemist who work as a close partnership so they can provide their customers with a high standard health and beauty retailer that also provides optical services and pharmacies.
The purpose of the organisation is to become the world's leading pharmacy-led health and beauty group and at the same time ‘deliver products that help people look and feel their best’. Alliance boots form of ownership is a privately owned one. Reckitt Benckiser is the owner and the company was bought in 2006. Its shares are not traded or listed on any stock exchange.
The stakeholders that have the most powerful impact on this business would be the employers and the customers. The employers influence this organisation when they work with it to provide a better service for the customers; they include directors, managers and operatives. Without any employers there would not be a business at all. The customers are also a very important stakeholder because
