Abstract
This paper is about America and it road to destruction When it comes to social injustice throughout America’s lifespan as a nation we have taken three steps forward and four steps backwards. A non-black attorney Thomas Mesereau Jr was named attorney of the year in 2015 stated that black people are punished more severely than white people, and that if a black and white person were to commit the same crime the white person crime would be considered a lesser offense than the black person crime as his reasoning for believing the legal system to be racist (Taylor, 2010). Oscar grant, Eric garner, Mike brown, Corey jones, and Sandra bland are all victims of abuse of abuse authority. Stereotyping and racial profiling occur every where school, stores, by policeman, commercials etc.……..

When you think of America what comes to mind? Freedom and equality? Something author Bharati Mukherjee mentioned in his essay American Dreamer stuck out to me “Why it is that hyphenation is imposed only on nonwhite Americans? Rejecting hyphenation is my refusal to categorize the cultural landscape into a center and it peripheries: it is to demand that the American nation deliver the promises of its dream and its Constitution to all its citizens equally “(359). Black people were imprisoned for no apparent or understandable reason, its years later and they are still getting stopped because of their skin color. Study shows that police has killed over 1000 people in 2015 out of those 1000 roughly 20% were unarmed. When it comes to social injustice throughout America’s lifespan as a nation we have taken three steps forward and four steps backwards. Racism in the justice system still exist, there’s police abuse of authority, along with stereotyping and racial profiling throughout the nation.
People think of America as a nation of freedom...
