ISOLATION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. GENERAL:
a. Purpose: This SOP provides guidance to the detachment once it has bee alerted.
b. Usage: This SOP is a guide. It should be used in conjunction with the Battle Focus Analysis Program (BFA), Military Decision Making Process (MDMP) and the appropriate Special Forces ARTEP Mission Training Plan.

2. SPECIAL FORCES TECHNICIAN: Chief of Staff for the conduct and planning of all isolation activities. The SF Technician forms the staff sections, making maximum use of military specialties, prior experience, and personnel background. Chief of Staff coordinates all actions to insure planning synergy. Planning and study by staff sections should include items specifically related to mission accomplishment and the briefback guide.

3. DETACHMENT STAFF: Under the direction of the Chief of Staff the detachment staff members accomplish BFA, Intelligence Preparation of the Battlefield (IPB), Staff Estimates and Analysis, Asset Debriefing, Escape and Evasion Planning, Mission Planning, and Briefbacks.
