Issues and Traditions in Western Religion
Judaism is facing issues just as any other religion. The major issue facing Judaism today that many Jews are marrying non-Jews as their partners. The problem with this is that most of the partners do not convert to the Jewish religion. The Jewish religion is usually pasted down through the mother. So if a male Jew married a female that was a non-Jew his children will not be Jews because the mother will not pass it on. Another issue is that many Jews are growing up without a full understanding of their religion or their heritage. In doing so they lose sight of their religion’s basis and rituals and cannot pass it on to their children.
The Christianity religion faces issues as well. One issue that Christianity faces is the lack of biblical knowledge and fellowship. Many Christians do not read the scriptures on regular intervals. Without reading the scriptures how can you comprehend and understand them to know the truth. Christians should be fellowshipping among other believers, however most do not. Most Christians who attend church do not attend Sunday school. How can you build a relationship with god if you cannot build one with his followers on Earth. Another issue that has arisen is that Christians have what Jesus commanded in Matthew 28:19, where he said Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Jesus commanded that Christians go out and be “the light” and preach the gospel to non believers.
One critical issue facing Islamic community in this day and age is the view that the few have brought upon the many. Since the bombing of 9-11 the Islamic world has been viewed as a dangerous and blood thirsty group bent upon destruction. People have assumed that anyone associated with the Islamic religion will sub come to this behavior....
