INTRODUCTION
What is prejudice?
Prejudice is a schema that influence how we notice and interpret events. it is a negative attitude towards the members of some group and is made up of three components:
 affective/emotional component: representing both the type of emotion linked with the attitude (e.g. anger, wrath e.t.c) and the extremity of the attitude (e.g mild uneasiness, outright hostility e.t.c)
 a cognitive component: involving the beliefs and thoughts. Cognitions that make up an attitude.
 a behavioral component: relating to ones actions. People don’t simply hold attitudes, they usually act on them as well.
Prejudice is ubiquitous. In one form or the other it affects us all. It is a two way street; it often flows from the minority group to the majority group, as well as in the other direction. Any group can be a target of prejudice.
