Italian American Singers
(Dean Martin & Frank Sinatra)

Italian American singers have not only had a huge role on my taste in music, but also the music scene in general back in the 40's and even today. For example some major artist that were in fact Italian americans are as followed Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, as well as many more.
[pic]A litte information on these artisti that I have just describe or as followed. Dean martin who was in fact born Dino Paul Crocetti on June 7, 1917 was not only a popular Italian American singer but also aactor, television star and comedian. He was later part of a very popular music group called the "Rat Pack," with fellow Italian american singer Frank Sinatra. Some of his best know songs are “That's Amore”, “Everybody loves Somebody”, and “Aint that a kick in the head? “ and my favorite “Sway” Just to name a few.

[pic] Francis Albert "Frank" Sinatra, was born on December 12, 1915. He was also a popular was film actor. As well as one of the orginal Italian american singers to hit the music scene. As I mentioned before not only was he a poplaur solo artist he also worked along side Dean Martin in the “rat pack” for many years and the group expericanced much success. Following his early success in the 40's and 50's he contunied to gain popularity among not only Italians but many other groups of diverse people. Sinatra starred in his very own Emmy-winning television special Frank Sinatra: A Man and His Music. Following that he retired in 1971 however two years later came out of retirement to perform in Las Vegas. Sinatra relaesed over 40 songs over the years, but his most popular and chart topping songs would have to be "I'll Never Smile Again".

Overall as you can see these two Italian American men had a lot to do with the music scene back in their era's and in some ways still touch a lot of italian americans today in the everyday life. Below are some links that you can click on to hear some of their songs if you would...
