Japanese internment was a public suspicion gone to far and should not

have occurred. The internment camps were an unnecessary way to make

Canada feel safe and a sense of security. The Japanese internment camps

should not have occurred because it was racist, the Japanese lost everything,

and were second generations.

In the internment camps, families were separated and lost everything.

The interment camps had very poor living conditions. People lost their

houses, cars, shops, fishing boats and other properties. Their possessions

were sold and they received virtually nothing. Most of the Japanese workers

worked as fishermen and were now not getting paid as much as they did. The

jobs. This was just a racist act by Canada.

The camps should not have occurred and Japanese-Candians

should not have been treated this way. The internment camps were just a

racist act by Canada.
