Jerry Ghinois

Jerry Ghinois is known as one of the top five wedding photographers in the world. He is based out of Australia and travels internationally on photographic assignments and speaking events. He has photographed weddings in Australia, throughout the United States, Rome, Florence, Paris, the United Kingdom and Greece. In 2004 Jerry won the title of Master of Photography by the A.I.P.P (Australian Institute of Professional Photography).
Jerry became obsessed with photography when he was given his first camera at the age of fifteen. He went to a four year photography school but quit after one year. He said, “I was tired of the teachers trying to teach me to save the world with one photograph.” In 1994 he went to work for a few camera retail stores and then asked a popular studio in Melbourne to work for no pay on his weekends. He did this for a year and then became the manager and principal photographer. In 1997, Jerry decided to go out on his own and start his own business and is now one of Australia's largest and most respected studios.
He has inspired me to become a great wedding photographer. I recently went to one of his seminars and learned SO much. He is amazingly talented at what he does. One of the things that stands out about Jerry's work is that he likes to use natural lighting. Any light coming from windows he will use. Most wedding photographers look at what will be a good background, Jerry finds the light first and creates a beautiful photograph.
Jerry inspires and educates fellow professional photographers all over the world with his passionate approach to photography. He not only has the ability to capture the natural magic on a wedding day but he creates magic of his own. An example of creating magic on his own, he does not take a normal family portrait at a wedding.
