Jesus and Muhammed 1 Jesus and Muhammed Kristy Gibson Axia College of University of Phoenix Jesus and Muhammed 2 Jesus and Muhammed’s life were very different from each other. Historically they were both very important to the following world. Even their deaths had a great impact on their religious followers. Both have the followers and the ones that are very against whatever they may have to say or whatever they may want to show. Even today both religions of Jesus or Christianity or Muhammedand Islam are followed and believed very highly by those that are willing. Muhammed means “ the praised one. “ Muhammed’s life started with him being born to a poor family that lived within a tribe. Once his mother and father died his uncle started taking care of him. His uncle put him to work as a Shepard. When Muhammed was a teenager a Christian monk noticed markings on his body that revealed that he was a prophet. Muhammed got married to a very supportive older woman named Khadijahat twenty five years old. After some time of him being in continuous solitude the Angel Gabriel spoke to him. The Angel Gabriel told Muhammed to recite the Qu ‘ ran. After three years of revelations God told Muhammed to speak publicly. Once he started doing this some people were against Muhammed ridiculing him as well as stoning him. This did not stop Muhammed from spreading the word about Islam not giving up his purpose in life. When he turned fifty years old his wife and uncle both passed away marking the “ Yearof Sorrows “. The more he told about the word of God the more everyone disagreed with what he said. He said he had some followers but people still disagreed with his cause. He then experienced what is known as the “ Night of Ascension “ where he witnessed paradise and hell and he met with Jesus and Adam. God blessed him greatly with everything that he was doing. People were still against him though. Tension was brewing in Mecca. Muhammed secretly left Mecca and moved the Yathrib...
