Death penalty speech
I come to you today to talk to you about one of the most contreversial topics facing our society today. The death penalty. to many the very thought of it creates anger and tension between us but one big question is, can it ever be justified? some say it cant but we need to think more about protecting each other as a society than scurrying around trying to defend a guilty criminal who gve no thought to his or her crimes.
as a society, we need to stick together! to protect our mothers, fathers, siblings, spouses and children who are unable to protect themselves from those who want to hurt them. when we discover that a criminal, big enough and often wise enough, has brutally butchered another human being do we not cry out for justice? the death penalty can deliver that justice we crave! people say that killing the guilty makes us killers also but did the murdurers, rapists and human traffickers think about their crimes? did they think about the damage they do? i know it sounds cruel but we can keep risking the lives of the innocent at the exspense of the guilty. Would you have felt safe near someone like that? An individual like that is like a snake in the grass just waiting to sink their...
