Child: Zach
Place of Observation: Monkey Joe’s
12:27pm – Arrived at Monkey Joe’s with Zack
12:32pm – Zach immediately took off his coat and shoes, and ran off to the big slide.
12:37pm – He came down as fast as he could and jumped down, looked at me, and said “that was sweet.”
12:42pm – Zack is racing to beat the girls down the inflatable slide
12:47pm – Zack made a new friend, was sweating and started to loose energy.
12:52pm – He is dedicated to running up the slide as fast as he can just to get to the top and slide down to race the other children.
12:57pm – Ordered pizza and drinks.
1:03pm – Took a few drinks of his punch, and ran off to continue playing.
1:08pm – Zack ran down the slide and fell down when he got to the end. He stood up and laughed.
1:13pm – Came back to the table, had a drink, sat down and played with a bug toy for a few minutes and when he got bored, Zack went back to playing on the inflatables.
1:18pm – Tried 4 times to get up the slide from the bottom, up.
1:23pm – Got a running head start to try and make it up the slide.
1:28pm – Zach gave a high five to Monkey Joe, and took a picture with him. Was not so thrilled.
1:31pm – Got the pizza. Zack ate 5 pieces, and continued playing right afterwards.
1:33pm – Still attempted to make it up the slide, with everything in his power to make it.
1:35pm – Gave up trying to make it up the slide, got Zack tokens to play the arcade games.
1:40pm – Zach, out of breath, sweating, took a break from the inflatables and played the arcade games. He was happy when he won some tickets.
1:43pm – Zack was running around so fast, he slipped a few times on the way to the slide.
1:48pm – Did the slide with the friends he made while running around Monkey Joe’s.
1:53pm – Once again, he tempted to get up the slide from the bottom, he fell over a few times, but did not give up. By doing that, Zack made it to the top.
