Employers are looking to hire the best employees to join their organization. Employers will determine who to recruit based on the individual performance level, and experience (Sullivan, 2010). Recruitment is the process of finding the correct person for the position correctly available. Every business wants to hire the best applicant to join there organization. During this process the employer can post the position internal to give a current employee an opportunity to move up to a hire position. Some companies will post the position internal. One company may decide to just post externally only supposed to internal hiring. This can be an advantage and a disadvantage.
Selecting the best qualified person for the job the company goes through several different processes before a final decision is made on the person to hire. The step the company needs to decide if this new position is going to be a temporary position, full time or part-time. A decision will need to be made on how long the job posting will be available. The length of a job posting can be up for three weeks or longer, also a company my take down a posting due to numerous applicants applying. Human resource will review the applicants resume to validate if he or she meets the job description. Management decides if the interview process will be a one on one interview or an interview panel with several managers conducting the interview at the same time. Once the employee skills have been confirmed managers then can move forward with recruitment process. Company number two may use the same tactics, but may request candidates to come back for a follow up interview.
