Computer Support Specialist
Computers! Computers! Computers! They seem to be almost a necessity in everyday life. Heading towards the future, it is an absolute that computers will be the foundation of many major corporations. Which is why my ideal job is to be a computer support specialist. It looks as if being a support specialist is the basis of many opportunities to new doors of a career. However, the idea of the computer troubleshooting as a profession is quite difficult due to all courses and certificates which must me required. In this essay I will go over all the requirements and skill required to become a computer support specialist.
There are many ways to start preparing to pursue a computer line of business. Through education, you may seek colleges, special schools, or certification by experience (Bureau of Labor Statistics 2). It may vary, yet most employers search for hire in applicants who have formal college education. Other than college there are trade schools which can give a computer related associate degree (Bureau of Labor Statistics 2). In absence of college nor trade schools, certification by a specific training program may help to qualify for job positions. Rather than just school, there are many skills that must be required.
Skill that are needed to become a computer support specialist are diverse. Strong problem-solving ability is a must due to all the analytical diagnosis’s and resolutions (Bureau of Labor Statistics 2). Also, communication skills are needed to pursue the diagnosis of a computer; a specialist must be able to converse with the person who has difficulties with his or her computer. Furthermore, the constant interaction of other computer personal and customers gives the specialist an effect of always being in good shape and to be ready at all times (Bureau of Labor Statistics 2).
Overall I believe the career of a computer support specialist is quite an ideal occupation for me. It reflects my interests in technology...
