The problem of evil is one of the greatest arguments against God today. "If God is all-good, all-knowing, and all-powerful, then why does evil exist" (Hardy, 104)? "If God existed as an omnipotent, omnibenevolent, and omniscient being, then evil cannot exist in his creation, evil does exist in his creation. Therefore, God does not exist as an omnipotent, omnibenevolent and omniscient being" (Hardy 104). Christians obviously know that God has the power to get rid of all the evil in the world if he wanted to. People say that God created evil. God did not create evil, humans created evil. God created humans and he gave us the power of free choice. With this power, some of us chose to do evil. Therefore, God did not creat evil, humans did so. People are still going to ask some questions about evil. Since God is all powerful why doesn't He just destroy evil completely? If evil was destroyed completely, then wouldn't God have to destroy all of human life also (Hardy, 109). We are full of evil and would have to be destroyed. Also, evil does have a good purpose in some cases. Bravery and sacrifice come from evil (Hardy, 109). For these qualities to be displayed, something evil must happen. So in the end, God does have a purpose for evil in the world even though others may not agree.

Some people that do not believe Jesus is real, believe that he was a mythological figure invented by the Jews (Hardy, 113). There is plenty of information in the Bible to prove that Jesus existed but it is more impressive to use non-Christian sources. In the time of Jesus there was obviously no mass media. So then how should we be able to track writings about Jesus during his lifetime. Especially since people rejected Jesus' teaching during his lifetime. It was not until his death that people began to follow him. There are still...
