Kafaka

This assignment was a very effective learning experience, I had a the pleasure to work with a very supportive and task oriented group. I worked along side of Jordan Ambridge, Eliza Villa, Betty Tapia and Kaytlin Schieb. Our group topic was the Amazon Rainforest. Our task at hand was to research then each come up with a five minute expository speech on the Amazon. During the speech I found it quite easy to speak out and deliver. However after watching my speech I did notice that I constantly said um as a way to fill silent moments during my speech. I was fueled by nerves and even though I showed confidence in my delivery it is evident that with more practice I can master expository speeches. The same feed back I received during our group practice was give at the end of my presentation. My portion of our topic was the climate and weather of the Amazon Rainforest and the effects of human interference. I started with a great opening question that added a slight amount of humor to my topic. This along with a great visual worked well with the task of engaging my audience. I used facts such as the different seasons, background information of the tropical region and direct effects of human interference. The speech wasn't bogged down with facts however I transitioned in to each supporting point using facts. As for our group every member participated to the fullest. We used some group norms such our out of class meeting which every member attend. All members came prepared to our meeting and provided support to each member in the form of feedback and suggestions. There was no one leader however every member stepped up and completed their assigned task. The best part about working with my group members, was the fact that we were all task oriented and we completed the assignment. I would love to work with every member of this...
