This paper explains how Kudler Fine Foods has achieved success and growth; from a start-up retail gourmet food business to three flourishing operating locations in southern California. Kudler’s visualization has become a reality due to her excellent skills as an entrepreneur and leader whose vision has been embraced by her management team and employees. The organizational culture and structure of Kudler Fine Foods s is self-managed, stable, and customer oriented. The paper will also describe what can be learned from the leadership style at Kudler Fine Foods based on organizational performance and how the leadership style at Kudler’s is evidentially reflected in the employee morale and motivation. Lastly, the paper will also entail examples of internal and external events that could set change in motion at Kudler Fine Foods.

Sizing Up the Culture at Kudler Fine Food

The success and growth of Kudler Fine Foods can be contributed to the exceptional organizational culture that is present within the business. “To provide our customers the finest in selected foodstuffs, wines, and related needs in an unparalleled consumer environment” is the basis of the mission statement at Kudler’s.” (Kudler Fine Foods, 2005, p.1). To introduce the company’s values and beliefs, three levels of culture within the business will be explained.
Visible Culture
The visible culture also known as artifacts, are what is observed, heard, or felt by someone outside looking in or what employees might observe or feel when at work.
