I’ve decided to do my paper on the reckless society of the New Orleans hurricane Katrina. On the morning of August 29, 2005 hurricane Katrina struck the United States. The storm itself did a great deal of damage, but the aftermath was catastrophic. Hurricane Katrina was known as a total disaster zone and people were getting absolutely desperate. Tens of thousands of people who needed food, water and shelter broke into the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center complex thinking to find help, but they found nothing there but chaos.
Some people tried to walk over the Crescent City Connector Bridge to the nearby suburb of Gretna, but police officers with shotguns forced them to turn back. Many believed that it was man’s fault. It was said that God was absent for two weeks. Also many people took advantage of the FEMA or Federal Emergency Management Agency. One man Kenneth Revan McClain was found guilty of stealing from FEMA. He had over 27 fake names and he pretended he was a victim of hurricane Katrina when in fact he was resided in Dallas, Texas.

Deadly gangs cold be seen roaming the streets with guns, drug trades were being made in public, and many people would have to fight to the death for their own property. Officers were told to do what they have to do to take back the city-Marshall law, some even walked off the job because they couldn’t carry out orders. It took too long to get the basic necessities. There was no gas no nothing.
After hurricane Katrina on Wednesday September 14, over 4,000 sites claimed to offer help to Katrina victims, the FBI believes up to 60% are likely bogus. People sent spam mail saying things like “Please donate to Hurricane Relief Efforts. We have seen the horrible destruction this past week that was caused by natural causes. Our hearts and prayers go out to those affected by Hurricane Katrina. If you’d like to help we encourage you to...
