Once upon a time, s young lady really wanted to be a dentist. She had a lot of problems along her way, but she never gave up. The worst time en El Salvador was during the 80’s there were a lot of political problems and a civil war. At that time the young girl had to quit the National University since the rebels had destroyed the infrastructure of the university. Classes were suspended, and the students could not finish the year. When students could go to some classes, the girl went without thinking of the dangers. After some years of struggling with the war she made the decision to move to another university. Before she could move to new university, she still had classes in the National one. She had to deal with a lot of work from the two universities at the same time. Also she already had two children to take care of. Although the situation was difficult, she continued with her studies. After 10 years of studies and some problems she finally graduated. This is the end of a brave story, and it still is an inspiration for my life. My mother’s passion for dentistry gave her the determination to never give up. I have mentioned how mother inspired my career. Now I would like to point out my future goals in the La Salle Bajio, my experiences in Dentistry, social work and my future plans in my profession. One of my considerations is to improve my abilities in my practice. My admission to the Salle Bajio will give me the opportunity to learn new techniques, and to master my practice with the help of technology My next goal is to have a solid academic foundation. I am going o review each area of dentistry one by one. I will take all the advantages that university offers me, such as good education, excellent equipment, and personal interaction with other dentists, and I will use them to develop my understanding in dentistry.
