Job & Internship Fair
The first company I talked to at the job fair was Ryan Roberts with Cabela’s , he informed me that he is looking for people to fill his need for retail sales positions, General sales floor, and a cashier. Some of the requirements for these jobs are basic outdoors info and great service. Robert informed me that every time when college students are off at school they are in need of workers. After talking with Robert I’ve conclude that this job is not for me, and would require a lot of work with little room to grow and be promoted. The second company I talked to was Ashley Nettesheim with Quad Graphics and she informed me about the need for general manufacturing, forklift operators, machine operators, corporate trainees and corporate trainee intern. Ashley told me that these positions are only open and available in the school year because everyone wants to come back and work in the summer. The requirements for these jobs are basic skills and they will train anyone willing to work. After talking with Ashley I’ve conclude that this job is too much customer service for me. The third job that I went to was the U.S Army ran by Dana Westlund. He informed me that there is ALWAYS a need for soldiers and then if I fit the strict requirements of no major surgeries, no tickets, and the drug tests and physical, I would be a great candidate. But after talking for quite some time I have decided the army was not for me at this moment in my life.
