Organizational leaders are expected to create realistic visions for their companies and the employees they guide, but these visions often have characteristics or properties that differ. There is, therefore, the realization that there is no one best leadership style to guide employees toward accomplishing organizational goals.
I currently work for a local Harley Davidson dealership. My position is a service technician and the following essay is on the leadership styles of the company CEO.

1. Analyze the leadership style(s) of Harley-Davidson Motor Company, CEO Keith E Wandell who made a positive impact on me.
Mr. Wandell is our Chairman of the Board, Chief Executive Officer and President. He has served in both capacities since 2011 and as President since 2009. (Forbes. Profile).
Wendell has been described by several reporters as possessing a transformational leadership style (Hawaii News, 2011.) Leadership consists of various types of power ranging from coercive to reward or power achieved by fact of expertise. Transformational leaderships is allegedly the highest form of leadership since it is more than the leader simply guiding and managing the team; it involves the leader inspiring each and every one of his followers and eliciting their voluntary motivation to model him and produce their best work. Transformational leadership, literally, involves transforming the other which, in turn, causes transformation in the workplace. A transformational leader not only has effective communication, but he is able to communicate and be with as well as attempt to understand his employees from their perspective (Bass, 2008). Wendell is all of this aside from having the capacity to deal with change; he is flexible and able to lead his subordinates through change too.
