Boeing is the world’s largest aerospace company and the leading manufacturer of commercial jetliners and military aircraft combined. They design and manufacture rotorcraft, electronic and defense systems, missiles, satellites, launch vehicles and advanced information and communication systems. The company supports airlines in the U.S. and allied government customers in 150 countries. Boeing Corporate office is located in Chicago and they employ more than 169,000 people across the United States. Boeing’s products and tailored services include commercial and military aircraft, satellites, weapons, electronic and defense systems, launch systems, advanced information and communication systems, and performance-based logistics and training.
The Company has been the premier manufacturer of commercial jetliners for more than 40 years. Today the company manufactures the 737, 747, 767, 777 and 787 families of airplanes and the Boeing Business Jet. New product development efforts include the Boeing 787-10 Breamliner, the 737 MAX, and the recently launched 777X. More than 12, 000 Boeing-built commercial jetliners are in service worldwide, which is 75 percent of the world fleet.
