Leave; What You Have to Do 72 hrs prior to departure!!!!
After you have done all the paper work & briefings through Sgt Flores (S-1) and Battalion and you’re all ready to go, there are some must do’s at your local level that must be done.
You must inventory all your personal property with copies going to; first line supervisor, the TOC, and keep one for yourself.
All your personal & military gear will be packed & secured in your wall locker, leaving either your combo or an extra set of keys which are clearly labeled in the TOC which will be secured. This is in case we have to re-locate we can move your property for you.
Make sure all your property whether you’re taking it with you or leaving it behind is clearly marked.
All your ammunition is inventoried by your 1st line supervisor and put in a container or box and sealed with tape with both you and your supervisor’s initials on it and the date.
Turn your weapons into SSG Lopez.
Sign out at the TOC then proceed to Battalion (S-1, TIF, Bighouse whatever you want to call it ) and sign out there and pick-up you’re DA-31 to travel with.
When you get Stateside you must contact us (1st line supervisor, SFC Marrujo, 1SG or somebody here) via text, e-mail or phone call immediately to let us know you’ve made it. On the same token, contact us the day your flying back to let us know you’re on your way. My email is marrujo1@yahoo.com.
