Free time is most commonly used for recreation; it’s also known as leisure time. For free time to get consideration as free, no activity that is compulsory ought to be done during such time. Recent surveys on how youths spend their leisure time have brought up very fascinating results. The absolute fact is that there is a big difference between what the urban and rural youths choose to do, but there is clear difference regarding thought patterns of urban males and females. The youth today have lots of free time and have significant possibilities of engaging in sex and drug abuse, irresponsible behavior or delinquency (Finn 2006). Today, teenagers spend 40% of the leisure time they have at home, therefore the requirement of leisure activities of a constructive nature. Today’s youth don’t have time for marveling at nature (the beauty that nature offers) such as birds, greenery, mountains and trees. Instead, today’s trend is listening to songs, watching movies, reading comic books, playing video games among others.
